Welcome to Idaho's (Tater) fan club.
From the first day I saw him, I knew he would forever hold a very special place in my heart! He has the most soft, curious and loving eyes. He also has a beautiful wave to his mane and his tail touches the ground. I refer to him as "Royalty"and he is also known as "Twinkle Toes" by Sheelagh and Kathy refers to him as "Regal". You will often find me standing in front of his stall, just admiring and loving him. Each time I spend with him, I learn something new about him. He can be the most loving and faithful friend, and on the other hand, very stubborn. Please stop by the rescue to meet him and you will see why he is so admired.

- Sam & I started volunteering at the rescue in July (2008). This experience has been one of the best things we have done together! Loving and caring for the horses together, is very rewarding. It is an opportunity to escape the stress of the week and spend our weekends helping this wonderful cause.
Idaho 'tater's fan club
He worked on a rodeo and was then sold to a loving home. He was the victim of inadequate finances and the owner asked if he could come to the rescue. His owner loved Tater and knew she couldn't give him what he needed especially since he has cancer....a slow growing melanoma. It is on his penis and his tail. There are some drugs we are looking into that may help but there is also stem cell research that may prove successful. Please feel free to research melonoma and see what you find. I just read about injecting pure Frankensence into the tumor. Dr Duvall s checking into different things as well. Our other gray horse Summer also has cancer melonomas so if we can help Tater, we can help Summer as well. We are seeking the best way to treat if it is treatable. He's a wonderful gentleman and is a permanent resident at the Horse Rescue Relief and Retirement. Please consider joining Idaho "Tater"s fan club. Proceeds go towards the benefit of the entire rescue.
